About Us

Nicole Ng

NicoleNicole Ng is a fourth-year nutritional science/dietetics student at UC Berkeley. She first became involved with photography in early high school, initially experimenting with the medium’s ability to capture memories. She has worked with disposables, Canon Elph, Canon G3, Holga and is currently using a Canon 30D.  Nicole enjoys photographing anything ranging from still life to landscapes to portraiture (including photographs of her adorable golden retriever, Max).  She has had minimal darkroom experience, and prefers digital photography over more traditional means.  Along with taking a Photography Seminar at UC Berkeley, Nicole has also taken two Academy of Art Photography classes during her high school career.  In her free time, Nicole enjoys traveling, video-gaming, restaurant-hopping as well as more adventurous pursuits – horseback riding, rock climbing, hiking, tide-pooling, and exploring, being never more than an arm’s reach from her camera.

Robert Yang

Robert Yang is a Civil Engineer working for the U.S. Army. He holds a degree in Business Administration/Economics from U.C. Santa Cruz and a degree in Civil Engineering from U.C. Berkeley. Robert first became interesting in Photography when he browsed through a bunch of Facebook pictures and was captivated by how stunning some of the pictures look. To be honest, he just was looking through them because some of the girls were pretty hot, and actually one of them reminded him of his ex-girlfriend. Some of the pictures were exceedingly flattering of some of the subjects, and I have nothing against them, unless of course they are used for evil. By evil I mean some of these photos were nothing but a mask of lies and deceit. He thought to himself that the photographer should have used their skills to enhance the natural beauty that is already there and not something that brushes on empty promises or covers up with false hope. So he decided to learn how to become a proper photographer to learn how to capture the natural moments of beauty in life and make you stop and think, just like how I used to think that my ex-girlfriend was a sultry, fair skinned fox that wouldn’t cheat on me for a shot of Patron and a ride to her car.
